About the client

Spaced is more than just an online collaboration tool. It's a marketplace of expert ideas that enables people around the world to easily manage, build, and enhance their teams with premier talent and support networks. Spaced provides many options for project collaboration, from short video advisory calls to work assignments and even full-time employment opportunities.

Main challenge and our solution

Initially, the client began this project with another team, but decided to make a change when they realized they needed an implementation partner who could better understand their goals and find ways to improve the project while quickly delivering results.

Emphasoft built a highly effective team to help our client to improve the application. Using Agile methodology, we made the development process more transparent for the client and more predictable from a business perspective. Together with the clients product team we developed new features that dramatically improved user experience. Our client was able to launch new versions of the product on time.

  • Create the possibility of video calls with a timer in minutes, where the expert could add his schedule and set pricing.
  • Create an opportunity for the client to add experts to projects, create stages and tasks, attach PDF files, assign tasks to individuals, set deadlines, write comments, identify users (experts, team members, consultants).
  • Ability to send requests for hiring a specific expert to the service admins.
Results we delivered
  • Possibility of conducting joint projects and offering recruitment functionality.

  • The service calculates VAT for residents of different countries, showing how much the expert earned and how much the customer spent.

  • We have added the ability to manage projects, create milestones and tasks, write comments, tag users, and attach PDF documents.

  • Created a convenient mobile version of the service.

  • Added "Custom tag request" - allowing an expert to offer their unique skillsets that aren't on the list.

  • Added many third-party service integrations.
