Organizations in the American medical sector suffer from profitability challenges, which leads to a significant shortage of healthcare providers. As a dramatic result, there is a contradiction between the decrease of medical treatment consistency and reliability, and the growing number of patients waiting for help. Consequently, patients are forced to compromise on episodic, transactional and expensive healthcare assistance even with respect to the most basic healthcare services.
The situation might change once the standard healthcare operational processes become more automated which will allow care providers to focus on treatment and avoid the administrative routine. Now that the problem has been taken into consideration by AdviNow Medical, it’s going to be solved by dint of the new patient care management system.
If repetitive actions can be performed by special algorithms, medical experts’ knowledge and time may be better used in decision-making processes. In this way, the cost and time savings would contribute to medical care affordability and accessibility.
This idea inspired the AdviNow team to start working on an ambitious project, dedicated to operationalizing technological innovation for solving the current problem.
With the help of Emphasoft engineers, AdviNow aimed to supply providers with a virtual assistant to automate inherent stages of the medical consultation process such as:

Results
After detecting which stages needed to be automated and considering different user scenarios, AdviNow specialists developed an Artificial Intelligence algorithm to:
- Collect the patient data
- Diagnose the illness depending on symptoms
- Collect medical vitals during the AI-supported visit to a Medical Station
- Offer the treatment
- Guide the patient towards the optimal care
This technology has been integrated by Emphasoft engineers with the framework, created for connecting the AI-algorithm with patients, providers, and medical stations within the whole network, accessible from any device.
Particularly, the main tasks of Emphasoft engineers concerned:
- The web-app backend and frontend development
- Expanding the NLP knowledge base for improving the AR-powered diagnostic algorithm
- UI/UX design of the platform
- DevOps processing
Also, we deployed all the innovative AdviNow telemedicine functions presupposed for automating the medical attendance process.
Those purposes required the project team to implement such technologies, as artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and alternative reality.
For this purpose, our engineers proficiently operated with Python, Django, Angular, Angular Universal, Ansible, Google OCR.
AdviNow and the Emphasoft team succeeded in reaching the ambitious aim of creating the perfect medical assistance coordination system. Patients can begin the AI-diagnostic from anywhere via a device with internet access, and regarding the results, every user is guided by the algorithm through the optimal pathway to recovery.
The platform integration into the provider’s medical ecosystem allows for computerizing the business, creating an automated, scalable, profitable clinic. Already 16 traditional and urgent care providers ensured their accessibility and cost-efficiency by contracting with AdviNow Medical. For example, medical stations can be found today at Akos Med Clinic and Safeway stores.
