Django development
We build web products and APIs on Django and Django REST framework, usually with PostgreSQL, Celery and Redis, deployed to AWS or Docker hosts. It is the backend we use most often, and the case studies below are client projects built on it.
What we build with Django
- REST APIs for web and mobile apps (Django REST framework), with token or JWT auth and versioned endpoints.
- SaaS backends with multi-tenant data, billing through Stripe and role-based admin panels.
- Background processing: Celery workers for imports, notifications, reports and integrations, with Redis or RabbitMQ as the broker.
- Integrations with payment, messaging and CRM services such as Stripe, Plaid, Twilio, SendGrid and HubSpot.
- Internal tools on the Django admin when a team needs to move fast and does not need a custom UI yet.
How we run Django projects
Our Django projects have automated tests, a staging environment that mirrors production and error tracking in Sentry. Migrations are reviewed before each release. We document the API (OpenAPI) so frontend and mobile teams can work in parallel. When a product outgrows a single server, we usually keep the stack: we split the work into Celery queues, add caching and move static and media files to object storage.
Taking over an existing Django codebase
Much of our Django work starts with code another team wrote. We begin with an audit: Django and Python versions, dependency risks, test coverage, slow queries and deployment. Then we fix the issues that block releases and upgrade in steps, for example from Django 2.2 to 5.2, without stopping feature work.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work with Django REST framework?
Most of our APIs use Django REST framework, documented with OpenAPI so web and mobile teams can build against them in parallel.
Can you upgrade an old Django project?
We upgrade in steps through the supported releases, fix deprecations with tests in place and keep the product shipping during the upgrade.
Where do you deploy Django apps?
Usually AWS (EC2, RDS, S3) or Docker hosts on DigitalOcean, behind nginx and gunicorn, with CI/CD and Sentry monitoring.
