Digital technology changes all business processes. It offers increased speed, flexibility, and adaptability.

Modern CEO's understand how to inspire and motivate people to work together to achieve a common goal. They understand how to organize a system of trust and general values among workers.

How can we make this new system work?

Task 1. Grow competencies in people

The leader of even the smallest company needs to be able to delegate, constantly develop competencies, and foster skills in employees. To give free rein to others so that they bring more benefits, find opportunities to educate people, and guide them along the growth vector - this is how the leaders of the new generation should act.

Task 2. Looking at the employee as a customer

The image of a public company depends on the employees too. If the concept of “customer experience” is many years old, then even large corporations are just starting to think about the term “employee experience.” It is important to listen to employees, learning to understand them and allowing them to become part of the “brand voice”.

Task 3. Attract and retain talent

For many years, talent management has been one of the central areas of work for HR departments, especially in industries experiencing serious staff shortages: IT, construction, and many others.

People work better when four basic needs are satisfied: renewal (physical), value (emotional), self-discipline (mental) and goal (spiritual). That is why you should no longer focus only on money. It is necessary that along with the salary, there are added benefits to society, an opportunity to study, and to pursue career prospects. And most importantly, there should be a leader in the company, ready to support bold, innovative ideas, open to suggestions and informal dialogue. For this purpose, many IT companies organize personal meetings of initiative employees with company management and meet-ups, where they discuss the achievements of departments and individual teams.

Task 4. To stimulate innovation

The lifecycle of innovations is declining every day. The role of the CEO is to stimulate innovation - not to create innovative ideas, to realize those ideas. That is why, the business leader must maximize the stimulation of collective creativity, create teams of highly effective people, and bring them to the desired results. The ability of a leader to innovate, in essence, boils down to managing people who are able to accept and implement breakthrough ideas.

Task 5. Joint leadership

And finally, you need to accept the idea of cooperation, not competition, within the organization. For a long time, the standard model of formal leadership was popular - the appointment of one manager for one leadership position, while its goals and objectives often did not coincide with the goals and objectives of other departments. The concept of “joint leadership” which implies horizontal cooperation between the leaders of divisions in order to solve common tasks for the business.
